A gift from Eli Lilly and Company has funded the rehabilitation of the "Sun Room" in the Benjamin Banneker Building A into a comfortable place for students to study, network and socialize. Lilly's gift purchased new furniture, window treatments, security, and other amenities for the space which has been rechristened as the Eli Lilly CIS Study Center.
Lilly has been a major recruiter of students in the FAMU Computer and Information Systems (CIS) Department. Lilly is also a FAMU Cluster member.
Eli Lilly and Company is an Indianapolis, IN, based pharmaceutical company.
Its nice to see someone outside of the "usual suspects" getting some corporate support.

ReplyDeleteI dream of the day when the black man will give more to this university than the white man.
I dream of the day when those heart wrenching commercials on TV will show the American black man helping the starving children in Africa more than the American white man.
I dream of a day when the local food banks and homeless shelters will be run not by the white man from the Baptist church, but a black man that can show other black men how to win.
I can dream. Together we can make it a reality.
