Shardia Washington, a former FAMU cheerleader, is now a member of the Charlotte Bobcats cheerleading squad.
Washington is a native of Jacksonville, Fla. She studied occupational therapy during her days on The Hill. In 2007, her outstanding performance as a student-athlete led the FAMU Athletics Department to honor her with an academic achievement award during its annual Athletic Awards Banquet.
The Charlotte Bobcats are part of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). NBA Hall of Fame member Michael Jordan is the team's majority owner .
