Chesire wins MEAC Indoor 5000m championship

FAMU distance runner Elias Chesire claimed gold with his first place finish in the 5000 meter run at the 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Championships. The sophomore from Edoret, Keyna clocked a blazing fast time of 14:57.49.

Norfolk State finished second and third, respectively. Nathnael Meseret took home a second place finish with a time of 15:10.12. Teammate Damtew Adnew was third in 15:28.66.
