On Tuesday, Dave Bryan, a writer for the “Steelers Depot,” urged his readers to make to begin following the gridiron action at FAMU.

“If you are a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but don’t currently have a favorite college team to follow, might I suggest Florida A&M, [which] now has three former Steelers players on [its] coaching staff?” Bryant wrote.

FAMU Head Coach Earl Holmes, a former Steelers star, hired two of his former teammates to join him in Tallahassee. Levon Kirkland, a former Steelers linebacker, will serve as Holmes’ defensive coordinator. Ernie Milles, a former Steelers wide receiver, will train the Rattler wide receiver corps.

Holmes selected three additional NFL players to round out his staff. They are Elijah Williams (Falcons), Chris Cash (Lions, Falcons), and Corey Fuller (Vikings, Browns, Ravens).

The new hires join ex-NFL players Quinn Gray, offensive coordinator, and George Small, associate head coach.
