FAMU and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will provide for the development of an articulation agreement between the university and the Chicago School to bridge students into the community psychology master’s program and the counseling psychology doctorate program.

Halyna Kornuta, TCSPP associate vice president for academic affairs and Orlando Taylor, president of the TCSPP Washington, D.C. campus traveled to Tallahassee for a ceremony in honor of the agreement. There, FAMU Interim President Larry Robinson and Taylor officially launched the partnership by placing their signatures on the MOU.

This MOU will further enhance the outstanding legacy of the FAMU Department of Psychology.  More than 80 students receiving the bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in psychology at FAMU have gone on to receive doctorates in psychology and related fields since the mid-1980s.

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is a graduate university that offers more than 20 degree programs related exclusively to psychology and related behavioral sciences.  The Chicago School has more than 4,000 students across four campuses: Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and Irvine, Calif.  The School has been recognized for its distinguished service and outstanding contributions to cultural diversity.
