Two FAMU Lady Rattler Volleyball players were named to the 2014 Preseason All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) team, voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors, announced on Thursday afternoon.

FAMU sophomore middle blocker Ginna Lopez-Chavez, who averaged 2.95 kills per set; 0.57 digs per set, and 0.98 blocks per set last season, joins senior teammate Joanie Del Castillo, a libero / defensive specialist, who averaged 4.67 digs per set; 0.34 assists per set; and 0.18 aces per set in 2013.

Both players, who hail from Lima, Peru, are set to lead the Lady Rattlers (15-8 overall, 10-0 in MEAC a year ago), picked to repeat once again as MEAC Southern Division champions.
