The terms of three FAMU trustees will expire on January 6, 2015, the date of the Florida gubernatorial inauguration.

Solomon “Chuck” Badger, III, Torey Alston, and Marjorie Turnbull’s appointments will all end on that Tuesday. If they are not re-appointed, they will continue to serve until their replacements are named.

Badger, who was reelected to the board chairmanship in 2013, was first appointed to a three-year term by former Gov. Charlie Crist in 2007. Crist then reappointed him in 2010.

Alston was also originally appointed by Crist. The former governor tapped him to serve in 2010. Gov. Rick Scott then gave him another appointment in 2011.

Turnbull, an appointee of the Board of Governors, was selected to serve on the FAMU board back in 2009.
