Bullard to keynote 2015 FAMU Black History Convocation

State Sen. Dwight M. Bullard of District 39 in Miami will keynote the 2015 FAMU Black History Convocation.

Bullard is a former schoolteacher who earned his bachelor’s degree in history from FAMU in 1999. He’s a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He follows in big footsteps. His late mother, Larcenia J. Bullard, was a member of the Florida House from 1992 to 2000 and later served as a member of the Florida Senate from 2002 until 2012. His father, Edward B. “Ed” Bullard, won her former Florida House seat in 2000 and continued serving until 2008.

Dwight Bullard then won the election to succeed his father in the Florida House in 2008. In 2012, he claimed victory in the election to succeed his mother in the Florida Senate.
