The Fourth Annual Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) College of Law All-Stars Tour hosted 16 undergraduate students from FAMU and other institutions for a two-day orientation program last month.  The participating students were selected based on their academic performance and an expressed interest in studying law.

The group attended law classes, participated in a mock class, toured the College of Law facility and received additional information on the admissions process and financial aid.

The College of Law partnered with Walt Disney World for a Legal Professions Luncheon at the Contemporary Resort and an evening of Disney entertainment at the Magic Kingdom for the participants.  In addition, the Orlando Magic provided a luxury suite for the group as the team took on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Amway Center.  Both Disney and the Orlando Magic have partnered in this endeavor since its inception.

In its fourth year, this collaborative event has yielded a more than 60 percent eventual enrollment among participants.  Students who enrolled at FAMU from the first All-Stars Tour will graduate with the juris doctor degree in May.
