The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced earlier this week that Florida A&M’s Ricky Page was its Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

Page pitched a complete game shutout in a 4-0 game two win at NC Central on Saturday and threw just 77 pitches (56 for strikes). He recorded a career-high eight strikeouts, didn't walk a batter and only went to a three-ball count one time in the game, which didn't come until two outs in the seventh inning.

Only twice the entire game did he allow a base runner reach second base, as he threw first pitch strikes to 21-of-25 hitters. He was also able to record an out to the leadoff hitter 86% of the time and left-handed hitters went 1-for-12 at the plate on the day.

Page has a 1.11 ERA against the MEAC in 2016 with 38 strikeouts to just 11 walks in 40.2 innings of conference play. He's holding opposing MEAC batters to just a .225 average and has only allowed five earned runs in seven starts.

The Rattlers are coming off their first series win at NC Central since 2011 and Sunday's win gave FAMU its 16th MEAC win of the season to set the program record for regular season MEAC wins. In just his third season at the helm of the Florida A&M program, the win also marked Head Coach Jamey Shouppe's 50th win against a MEAC opponent.
