The FAMU Board of Trustees (BOT) approved the agreement
today with a 10-1 vote.
The “yea” votes came from Matt Carter, Thomas Dortch,
Faculty Senate President Bettye A. Grable, David Lawrence, Chair Kelvin Lawson,
Gary McCoy, Vice-Chair Kimberly Moore, Belvin Perry, Nicole Washington, and
Robert Woody.
One “no” vote came from “Interim” Student Body President
Jaylen Smith.
Harold Mills and Craig Reed did not vote.
The BOT unanimously voted to appoint FAMU Professor Larry Robinson to serve as interim president. Robinson
previously served as director of the FAMU Environmental Sciences Institute,
provost, and interim president.
