YAG brings alumni, elected officials, FAMU administration together to support scholarships


The 2016 FAMU Young Alumni Giving Scholarship Brunch, held during FAMU Homecoming, brought a wide array of Rattlers together to support student scholarships.

According to Ricquel Jackson, who has chaired the event for three years, “this year we were able to award over $9,500 dollars to current undergraduate and graduate students at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.”

The attendees included: Interim President Larry Robinson, filmmaker Will Packer, South Florida AT&T Regional Director Cristal Cole, author Rashan Ali, U.S. Rep.-elect Alfred “Al” Lawson, U.S. Rep. Joyce Beatty, U.S. Rep. Al Green, U.S. Rep. Yvette Clark, and U.S. Rep. Donald Payne, Jr.
