Williams is a professor in the School of the Environment, an
American Society for Microbiology Congressional Science Fellow, and an
internationally recognized distinguished lecturer.
The Cohen Award is awarded to professional microbiologists in recognition of their
contributions, devotion, and interest in promoting the science of microbiology.
