Yesterday, Florida A&M University President Larry Robinson announced that on-site reviewers from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) shared favorable feedback with him following their visit.

“Our on-site team has informed us that Florida A&M University was in compliance and they didn’t have any recommendations,” Robinson said in a quote published by the Tallahassee Democrat.

The visit was part of the reaffirmation of accreditation process that takes place every ten years. SACSCOC will decide this year whether to reaffirm FAMU’s accreditation through 2028. That decision will be based mainly on the report from the on-site team.

SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in 11 southern states. During the visit from March 26-29, the SACSCOC committee held several meetings and interviews with FAMU’s faculty, administrators, students and staff.
