FAMU’s New Student Orientation Program achieves top honors

Out of thousands of students from across nine states, FAMU’s New Student Orientation Program leaders won top honors at the Southern Regional Orientation Workshop, which was held at the University of Central Florida, March 16-18.

Outpacing other student orientation programs from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, FAMU student leaders won first place in five areas including case studies about the new student orientation process, presentation skills and exhibiting campus pride.

The event was presented by the National Orientation Directors Association. FAMU’s New Student Orientation Program also hosted thousands of potential students during the University’s annual Spring Preview on March 24 at the Al Lawson Center.
