On May 18, Florida A&M University President Larry Robinson gathered more than a hundred of the university’s leaders at Bradley’s Pond for a retreat that served to kick off a new tradition for his administration, as well as prepare for the rollout of FAMU’s new customer service initiative, which is a component of its new five-year Strategic Plan, “FAMU Rising.”

FAMU’s vice presidents, deans, directors, associate and assistant vice presidents, associate and assistant deans, associate and assistant directors and other key staff gathered for day-long training, working sessions and information sharing to develop and discuss strategies focused on achieving institutional goals, as aligned with the Strategic Plan, President’s Goals and State Performance Metrics.

The event also focused on student success and innovative ways to offer remarkable student experiences. The president plans to host this event annually as a part of his commitment to customer service, performance and accountability.
