The 2018 Florida A&M University (FAMU) fall President’s Tour continued September 27 in Columbus, Ga. at the No. 3 ranked high school in Georgia, Columbus High School.

Last year, Columbus High School was tied with the Gwinnett County School of Mathematics, Science and Technology (GCSMST) for the title of the #1 ranked high school in Georgia according to the U.S. News & World Report. It is currently #3 in those rankings behind the GCSMST (#1) and the DeKalb School of the Arts (#2).

FAMU President Larry Robinson, university leadership, student leaders, faculty and staff engaged with a diverse group of students in front of a full auditorium at the high school.

Students enjoyed a personal recruitment fair, a new FAMU Connection storyline – with new choreography – and opportunities to ask Vice President of Student Affairs William E. Hudson, and other university leaders and faculty questions one-on-one.

Members of the local Chapter of the FAMU National Alumni Association greeted Rattlers and prospective students.

Columbus High School has a student enrollment of 1,269 with 58 percent women and a total minority enrollment of 45 percent.
