It seems the on again, off again, FAMU Day at the Legislature is back on. It's this Thursday March 23, 2006 at the Capitol. This is an opportunity for FAMUs to make present the university's 2006 agenda to legislators.
Organizers are asking that you show up at the Capitol dressed in orange and green by 11:00 a.m. There will be signs to direct you to the appropriate place.
Here's a snap shot of the funding request FAMU has before the Legislature this year:
$9.36 million for the University Commons Renovation
$3.85 million for planning, construction & equipment for electrical infrastructure
$5.35 mil for for the Dev. Research School and Teaching Gym
$4 mill for remodeling, planning and or expansion of Jones Hall, Tucker Hall and Gore Complex
$12.5 mil for Benjamin Banneker Complex Remodeling
