FAMU dropped its season opener to Delaware State in the Detroit Football Classic by a score of 34-14 before 29,713 fans.
The Hornets jumped on the Rattlers and beat us from beginning to end. Once again, Coach Rubin Carter had that "deer in the headlights" look in his eyes.
Plug pulled on Internet Broadcast
Florida A&M's scheduled Internet broadcast of the Ford Detroit Football Classic was cancelled after broadcast clearance was not received. Broadcast personnel sat in the press box with nothing to do but watch the game.
More on this tomorrow, when I return home.
Damn, damn, damn!

We definitely can win two out of the next three games and be 2-2. But if we win against Miami, that will be a SUPER boost. Let's go Rattlers!
The stats look great, but I did not see the game. Can someone post what we looked like.
oh my!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw it and it didn't look good.

ReplyDeleteIf Coach Ruben isn't carefully, folk'll be hollering for his head on a stick. You know, it only takes another loss and people will be picketing outside of his house.
ReplyDeleteWhat good does football provide to the university that makes up for all the money it costs, all the effort it takes, all the facilities it uses, and all the brainpower it displaces from other more productive activities?
ReplyDeleteThis is not merely a provocative question. Just because most colleges participate in this strange archaic ritual, should we?
More productive activities ... Like KEG PARTIES perhaps?"
ReplyDeleteand I had friends over at the crib to watch the game. Made me look like more of a chump than I normally do.
ReplyDelete^lol !!!! so you a chump now?
ReplyDeleteWe got be by JUCOs and mf transfers! We need to get us some.
ReplyDeleteI was in Vegas over the weekend, and was in the Flamingo Hotel Sportsbook, watching the game.
ReplyDeleteIt's the first time I've seen
Young Albert Chester play. All I can say is, he's no Albert Chester. I'm afraid he's going to have to work on his tackling skills, because with that throwing motion, his balls have more hangtime than Vince Carter, and those deep outs are going to be dinner for opposing DBs.
Thank you BrotherBrown.
