The honors keep coming for Darryl E. Jones. This week Mr. Jones was recognized, yet again, for his civic works in the Tallahassee-Leon County community, with the 2006 Reginald L. Rolle Economic Development Champion of the Year award. Earlier this year Mr. Jones was named Tallahassee Democrat Volunteer of the Year (see Volunteer of the Year)
Darryl has helped to start over 175 small businesses, build affordable housing, and as the volunteer chair of Kids Inc, he is making sure that the next generation gets off to a great start.
Come on RN... you removed my comment asking why you removed other comments regarding this story? I'm sure this one will be removed as well but why not just remove the whole story if you will not allow comments or how about not allowing any comments at all, about any story? Your readers deserve better...
ReplyDeleteSo now everything will hereafter be taken with a grain of salt since we know comments are subject to deletion, unless you approve. Maybe you don't understand the affect you have had on the FAMU community. Readers place trust (and hope!!) in what you post and allow to be posted. I'm sure most readers are aware that comments posted do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the host, etc. Your blog, your way I guess...... I'm disappointed.
I agree...
ReplyDeleteCensorship seems kinda of out of order.
If Mr. Jones efforts are worthwhile and significant, they will stand on their merit and it is possible he will have detractors.
Some of the stuff said about Castell and others in here has been down right meanspirited...some of it deserved however you didn't censor it.
If you 'bout it, then be about it.
OK yall are right. Angry said that deleting the comments wuz a punk bytch azz move!
ReplyDeleteI wuz wrong for that. Now carry on.
Mr. Jones is a great community leader. He was instrumental and provided excellent technical assistance to me. He is an excellent communicator and did wonders for my business plan in bringig the ideas together in cohesive and colorful way. I have been in business now for almost 7 years, and he still comes by and gives me kudos and encouragement. As far as the other stuff, I stand by my words and take my hat off to him.
ReplyDeleteDarryl is a liar once again and again. I saw all the previous comments and they were kind and generous of Darryl. Darryl is much worse than any of the previous comments. If you want the real story on him I can give you some of his dishonest and most nasty ways. He is just an outstanding liar.
ReplyDeleteThanks RN! I love a bruh who says "sorry."
ReplyDeleteDarryl is still up to his old tricks taking credit for things. He did not start-up any businesses nor build any houses. Telfair and Jordan should have received the award for economic development. Good Old Fake Darryl E. Jones is continuing his efforts going nowhere fast.
ReplyDeleteGeesh, yall aree some haters!
ReplyDeleteLet it rest.

^^^^^
Telfair @ the FAMU Credit Union, please he needs to worry about all of that drama and why he keeps losing damn employers every 1-2 months.
Darryl Jones has helped a lot of people. I don't think the article said he started any damn businesses or built any houses. For that matter Jordan and Telfair haven't built houses or started any businesses either.
The housing program is definitely not at the Credit Union, it's run by a 501(3)(c) organization and your girl Castell shut the damn business program down when she fired Pat McGill and closed the Center for Urban Policy.
I doubt seriously if Mr. Jones has been on this site. BTW, poster before me. I spoke first hand of my experience with Mr. Jones. He was instrumental, encouraging, and the reason I did not give up. Today, I am a proud business owner.
ReplyDeleteOf course we don't have to agree.
I am sure that many others experienced different things from the sword of Mr. Jones. If you are a business owner as a result of Mr. Jones, please identify yourself so that we all can patronize your business. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.
ReplyDeletePlease so you can't slander my business on this website. You have got to be crazy.
ReplyDeleteI know Darryl Jones, he is cool people. He has been the person to hook people up for years with anything!
ReplyDeleteWell I guess you can say the man has really arrived, cuz the man got some "haters" for real!
Darryl very often puts the needs of others before his own.
ReplyDeleteHe's the kind that will give you the shirt off his back. He really is the Moses General Miles of our generation!
