  1. James Ammons is a class act and a first-rate leader. He learned from the best and now he is bringing clear results in enrollment, research, graduate education, and fundraising for NCCU.

Ammons is one of Dr. Fred Humphries' brightest proteges. I'm a FAMUan and I find it much more pleasant to read NCCU's news than FAMU news. Under Ammons' leadership, NCCU is becoming everything that FAMU used to be.

  3. Dr. Ammons has been gone for almost 5 years. And it has been five years too long!

  4. Exactly. But we knew that much before he left. Same with Dr. Rivers.

  5. It's no secret that the Castell Bryant administration sees James Ammons and Larry Rivers as threats. Bryant has been on a crusade to destroy and discredit Dr. Fred Humphries' legacy. Ammons and Rivers continue to prove everyday that the Humphries blueprint is valid business model that virtually guarantees institutional prosperity.

You can't argue with the bottom line: soaring enrollment and increased research-federal grants. Students and grant money are pouring into NCCU and FVSU; students and grant money are steadily leaking out of FAMU.

In the end, the conclusion is clear: the Humphries model is a CONTINUING success. The Bryant model is a CONSTANT failure.
