Trustees taking payroll workshop on the road

The FAMU Board of Trustees will hit the road, once again. The Trustees will hold the Board workshop looking into FAMU's payroll problems in Jacksonville on April 13th.

Many believe that the Board takes topics dealing with "hot issues" away from Tallahassee because they don't want the public to attend. Last March, Trustees moved the meeting dealing with Presidential Search process to Orlando.

When Trustee Mary Dialo asked why the meeting was being moved from Tallahasseee, Chairwoman Challis Lowe said Trustees wanted to meet in a location with more direct flights. Mmmmm hmmm.

  2. Is it still a public meeting? Can any rattlers in Duval make it to the meeting? What about a road trip from Tallahassee? These people cannot be left alone. FAMily needs to show up en masse whenever FAMU is being discussed.

  3. Direct flights? What's that all about? They're acting as if Tallahassee is in Iraq? Furthermore, the payroll issue should be hearded closest to the people it affects (students and employees) so that their rights will not be impaired by an inability to travel.

  4. The meeting is public, thou I did hear they were trying to hold the workshop in Trustee Jenkins' Office.

  5. Challis Lowe is an idiot. Perhaps she should have considered this concern before she accepted the nomination to be on our BOT. Well hopefully she won't have to worry for too much longer about getting any more directs fligts to conduct FAMU business.

  6. This is ridiculous.

So I guess they don't want to hear from the faculty, staff and students who have been directly affected by the incompetence of the INCOMPETENTS?

  7. Let me see -- we're going to spend additional money for Diallo, Agnew, Holmes, McWilliams and Duncan to travel to J'ville because it's more direct to travel to J'ville.

More money that these idiots keep saying we don't have and the only board member not traveling is Jenkins.

    Please -- give me a frick'in break.

BTW I guess we are going to pay for meeting space as well, something that's free at FAMU.

Please -- give me a frick'in break. Who do these idiots think they are fooling?

You are obviously an idiot just like Challis Lowe and the rest of her pussies. Who gives a shit whether they want OUR black asses there or NOT. It's an open forum. They can meet on the gatdamn sun, we will be there.

And Leerie Jenkins' punk ass can't keep anyone out of his office if the meeting is being conducted on behalf of Florida A & M University.
    Nigh.

  11. Good Lord, 3:24--is it REALLY necessary to be so profane? What did you accomplish by being so ugly? You need a thesaurus so that you can build your vocabulary.

  13. This is a blog board, not the Boardroom. I'm sure I have more education that you. I can speak in any manner I choose as it relates to the enviroment I'm addressing. It's called versatility.

  14. This blog is more important than any Boardroom, because it is in the public sphere. Everything said here either reflects the very best of FAMU or it hurts us. Why feed the ignorant bigots by living down to their stereotype of us? We should all choose our words carefully, preview and spell check our posts AND say what's on our mind.

  15. 10:57--versatility? Surely, you jest! It's profanity, plain and simple. It should be (but oftentimes it is not) a board for intelligent commentary. More degrees than I? I don't think so. I have three: an undergraduate, a master's and a PhD. Counter, if you will (and can, my dear) this absolute fact.

  16. 10:57. You are deficient in so many areas until it difficult to even begin to address the deficiencies. This "environment" that you are "addressing" sometimes is dumbed down to carry people as yourself who are too inept to recognize the effects of deragatory language when its present and accounted for. Tell you what: Just stay off-line, or better yet, go to one of those sites where your profanity is welcomed and is used by the majority of the commentators. We should all be more intelligent than what we are seeing here. We can speak our mind w/o being in the gutter while we are doing so. Get with the program or leave the program. Period. (I'm speaking to you, 10:57. I need to reference to whom I am speaking, because obviously you would not have a clue that it is to you whom I am addressing these comments. Holla.
