I saw one young man duck out when the doors were opened by University students leaving. He ran DOWNHILL toward whanish way. His friends told on him, haha. Good for them.
ReplyDeleteThose loud kids came bursting into Tucker Hall all unruly.
ReplyDeleteI can't deal with bomb threats at FAMU, i remember in the late nineties when FAMU actually was bombed. Luckly nobody was killed or hurt. This hurts me, it justs makes me want to transfer away from here even more.
ReplyDelete1:03PM, does your comment mean that you can deal with bomb threats better somewhere else? Seems as though you're searching for a convenient excuse to transfer. If you want to leave FAMU, leave. As you can see in recent events (Va. Tech.), anything can happen at anytime, anywhere.
ReplyDeleteTake responsibility for your choices and deal with them. That's real life- which what you are suppose to be preparing for.
Please leave don't blame it on FAMU, life is a battle where ever you might go.
ReplyDeletelife is full of surpise's did you except the twin towers to get bombed? did you except the shooting on monday? you half to learn have to live and not die.
ReplyDeleteto 1:03PM,
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and leave. FAMU is in fact a very dangerous place. I hear Va Tech is accepting students these days.
It is amazing that the parents and students at VaTech are holding fast and not leaving. They understand that there are sick people everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with VaTech or FAMU.
An idiot can blow you up at the Mall, Movies, Supermarket, Doctor's office or any place they choose.
Learn how to live and not how to die.
1:03--go 'head. Who and/or what's stopping you?

ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean that you "can't deal with bomb threats at FAMU"?
Like another poster said, folks bomb and blow up places every day. Anywhere there's a gathering of folks, and there's a sick one in the midst, what can you do to stop it? The VTech bomber had been in and out of on-campus mental health counseling, was on medication and had been cautioned by law enforcement officials and teachers about his behavior. Did that stop him> No, it did not. So, leaving one place and going someplace else certainly isn't the answer. If you're that afraid to be on the FAMU campus, then by all means, pack up your suitcase and get to stepping...like Fetchit. I don't think they'll be any armed guards at the exit to stop you from leaving.
Afraid of being bombed?
ReplyDeleteConsider distance learning.
I was here in '99 when that sicko did what he did. I remember the lack of local support, but we made it through. If those bombs had gone off the way he intended, I still wou;d be a FAMU Rattler today. It actually helped us understand that things really are covert in America, and we must always stay focused on our goals and objectives as a family and a people.
