OT: Joe a no show at McCain event

The most cringe-worthy political moment of the day, so far, came when Sen. John McCain called out for his new buddy Joe the Plumber to stand up at a rally in Ohio, only to be greeted with confused silence. Joe the Plumber wasn't there.

Further, a local school district official confirmed after the event that of the 6,000 people estimated by the fire marshal to be in attendance this morning, more than 4,000 were bused in from schools in the area. The entire 2,500-student Defiance School District was in attendance, the official said, in addition to at least three other schools from neighboring districts, one of which sent 14 buses.

  1. I'll like this site a great deal more when the election is over. I'm a bit tired of the "OT" posts. The FAMU coverage is great, the political stuff is terrible.

  2. Joe actually went to the rest of the events McCain had scheduled for the day. I assume Joe has a life of his own and can't spend all his time campaigning for a position he isn't running for.

    I agree with Matthew.

  3. We need some more FAMU stuff. FUGG Joe the Plumber! Unless Joe the Plumber was a part of the Castell Bryant administration or Sarah Palin is donating some money to the school, let's stick to the FAMUness.

    It's homecoming BEE-OTCH!!!
