The concert, branded SuperFest 2012, is being promoted by
ClubNet360. ClubNet360 is a Chicago-based
events and promotions marketing organization led by FAMU alumnus Teddy Gilmore.
“Marvin Green, with the Office of Student Activities, and
Marissa West, with student government, are the reason this whole event worked
out,” ClubNet360 representative Ameer Brown told The FAMUan. “They basically
got the venue, laid the groundwork with marketing the whole event and got
students reduced tickets. All we had to do was get the artists.”
Ross has produced 13 songs that made the Billboard Hot 100.
His top charting song was “The Boss” featuring Tallahassee native T-Pain.
Def Comedy Jam personality Bill Bellamy will host the
concert. There will also be performances by The Originator, The Definition of
Miami Bass, and Uncle Luke.
Tickets are $25 for FAMU students. General public tickets
are available from TicketMaster.
