Tyms is 6-3, 204 pounds and in his first National Football League
(NFL) season out of FAMU Originally signed by San Francisco as an undrafted
free agent on May 4, 2012, Tyms spent all of 2012 and the first seven weeks
this season on the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad.
He played two seasons at FAMU, where he registered 45
receptions for 661 yards and four touchdowns, after spending two years at
Tallahassee Community College. Tyms is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where
he attended Dillard High School.
