Elmira Mangum, since January 2010 has served as vice president of Budget &
Planning at Cornell University. She is responsible for managing Cornell’s resources and the annual
operating and capital budgeting processes. This allows Mangum to provide
leadership in applying university resources to meet Cornell’s institutional
priorities and academic programming needs by leveraging all of the division
resources available through space planning, institutional research, and
business intelligence and information systems.
She
has more than 25 years of experience in executive higher education financial
and resource management, her administrative leadership began at the University
of Wisconsin- Madison. Dr. Mangum has also held positions at the
University at Buffalo (UB) a State
University of New York system university. From 1984 to 2001 at various times she served in the role of assistant dean, associate provost for resource management and as vice provost. For approximately nine years she served at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, leaving as Senior Associate Provost in 2010 to become a Vice President at Cornell University.

John Maupin Jr. is president of the Morehouse School of Medicine. Under his leadership, the MSM maintained its standing as one of the nation’s leading producers of African-American professionals in medical fields, and was ranked first by the Annals of Internal Medicine’s inaugural survey of the social mission of American medical schools.
Maupin announced his plans to retire from MSM this past June, and will leave the presidency on June 30, 2014.

the University of North Texas-Denton and grow it into an independent institution. Under his leadership, UNT-Dallas grew from 55 students to just over 2,000 students in 2013.
On Price’s watch faculty and staff members have complained about
his leadership and the school was noted for its high faculty/staff turnover.
In a survey of UNT-Dallas faculty only 20 percent agreed that “UNTD has a climate in
which faculty man. Under his leadership, UNT-Dallas grew from 55 students to just over 2,000 students in 2013.
