Gibbs had a strong week batting .545 (12-22) in the five
games against Mercer and South Florida. The redshirt junior recorded three hits
in three of the five games including going 3-for-3 against South Florida on
March 14. Gibbs had one double and nine RBI on the week including 10 putouts
defensively in left field for the Rattlers.
Gibbs raised his season batting average from .280 to .361
over the last five games and has at least one hit in nine of the last 10 games
for FAMU. He also leads the Rattlers in hits (26), RBI (18) and is tied for the
team lead with 12 runs scored.
