FAMU’s Health Informatics and Information Management
Program, which ranked third, is housed in the School of Allied Health Sciences.
It was recognized in part for offering pre-professional and professional
programs. Its pre-professional program contains foundational science,
humanities and communications courses and the professional program consists
primarily of laboratory and supervised clinical work.
All of the schools considered for top rankings are
accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and
Information Management Education (CAHIIM). CAHIIM sets rigorous program
requirements.
