The Board has notified Marcus Prince, a member of the 2016 graduating class, that his essay on Trusts/Family Law and Dependency/Ethics has been selected to be included in the guide that is published to assist individuals studying to take the Florida portion of the bar exam.
The study guide features questions and essays from previous
bar examinations along with examples of good answers. Prince’s essay on
Trusts/Family Law was selected from more than 1,000 essays submitted by
individuals who took the February 2017 the bar exam. While Prince’s name will
not be printed in the guide, he expressed pride in knowing that his work will
proudly represent his alma mater.
“I’m honored to be given an opportunity to help support other bar takers while also demonstrating the real value of a FAMU College of Law legal education,” Prince said.
He also offered a few words of encouragement for recent
graduates who are studying to take the Florida Bar exam in the future,
emphasizing the necessity of taking a commercial bar review course and urging
grads to take full advantage of FAMU College of Law resources, such as the
Florida Bar Law and Skills course.
“The greatest challenge facing bar exam takers, in my
opinion, is figuring out what works best for you,“ he said. “With the solid
foundation I received from the College of Law, I was able to implement what I
found to be an efficient and effective strategy for taking the bar exam. The results far exceeded my expectations.”
