FAMU’s Dean of the School of the Environment, Victor Ibeanusi, recently led a group of students on an important research boat trip to the Oyster Farm at Spring Creek in November to give them hands-on experiences in monitoring the role of oyster farming and its impact on improving water quality.

The trip is a component of the school’s ongoing efforts to engage and train students in research through its scholars-in-residence program, which includes a commitment to focus on addressing environmental issues of importance to the state.
