The current top two ranked teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) are scheduled to face-off on Monday, Feb. 11th in a game that will be televised on ESPNU
The #2 ranked FAMU Rattlers basketball team (7-2 MEAC, 10-14 overall) will host the #1 ranked Norfolk State University Spartans (8-0 MEAC, 13-10 overall) in the Alfred “Al” Lawson Center.
“We think we have a lot to sell and a lot to show. Anytime you have the opportunity to get a major media entity like ESPN to showcase our basketball program and our university it’s a win-win,” said FAMU head coach Rod McCullum.
“Once you get to conference play, there is some familiarity with Norfolk State as we lost a close one to them at their place earlier this season,” he said. “I think our guys are anxious to play them again.”
