FAMU golfer, Mulbe Dillard IV, was named the top golfer in the inaugural Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour Collegiate Rankings, announced by PGA Tour University and the APGA Tour on Monday.
Three other FAMU golfers also landed in the top five of the rankings--- Mahindra Lutchman came in at third, followed by Ethan Mangum and Cameron Riley claiming the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
The APGA ranking, ranks Black golfers in the NCAA Divisions I, II and III, according to the Golf Channel.
Dillard, a senior at Florida A&M, debuts at No. 1 in the ranking, just ahead of Michigan State’s Andrew Walker.
Dillard’s golf journey began when he was 2 years old, when his father, Mulbe III, brought him to a local driving range in Chicago. By age 5, Dillard was playing tournaments. By high school, not only was he committing to play for FAMU, but he was also opening his own golf academy.
