The FAMU Rattler basketball team, with a record of 10-12 overall and 8-3 in SWAC play, heads west this weekend for a two-game road trip against Jackson State (this evening) and Alcorn (Monday). The Rattlers currently sit in a four-way tie for second place in the SWAC.
Jackson State (6-16/4-7 SWAC) is coming into today’s game with a two-game winning streak over Mississippi Valley and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Rattlers beat the Tigers earlier this year when they traveled to Tallahassee by a score of 67-64.
On Monday, Valentines Day, the Rattlers travel to Lorman, MS, to take on the Alcorn Braves in what could hardly be called a love fest. The Rattlers beat the Braves in a nail bitter in Tallahassee, last month, 70-68.
