FAMU grad's news story gains national notice

Donovan Longa 1988 School of Journalism and Graphic Communications graduate, an award winning anchor and report at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, MI, recently to a look at Black masculinity after a New York Times photo of actors Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors went viral sparking much debate.  

Long's story has gained attention on social media being reposted on the Instagram and account "@TheBlackManCan", which has nearly 1 million followers.  In 2008, Long, received an Emmy and was named Michigan's best anchor .  His new story is certainly will likely win him another award and shows why the the highly decorated journalist is will likely land at one of the major networks soon.
