The FAMU football team has been cleared to return to football-related activities today, after a brief pause over the weekend after it was discovered that music video by a local rapper containing lewd and profane language was shot in the team locker room. Several members of the Rattler football team were also featured in the video.
An investigation into how the rapper, and his film crew, gained access to the facility is ongoing.
FAMU Athletics Director Tiffani Dawn-Sykes announced the decision on social media Monday afternoon.
The Rattler football team is currently involved in their offseason training, workouts, and player led drills leading up to the start of the official fall football training camp which starts on August 4. FAMU kicks off its 2023 season September 3, in Miami Gardens against conference foe Jackson State University.
