FAMU School of Architecture opens its doors to students from Nims Middle School with a 'Day of Design'

FAMU School of Architecture and Engineering Technology opened its doors, recently, to young minds, as students from Nims Middle School visited the school to immerse themselves in a Day of Design. This marks the third consecutive year of this inspiring event, aimed at fostering creativity and innovation exposing future leaders of architecture and design.

 

The students eagerly engaged in hands-on activities, guided by passionate professors and university volunteers. From taking a look at futuristic cityscapes and construction model designed by FAMU students and professors, the young participants explored various facets of design and engineering, igniting their imaginations and problem-solving skills.

 

The Day of Design not only provided an opportunity for hands-on learning but also served as a platform for mentorship and guidance. University faculty and student volunteers shared their knowledge and experiences, offering valuable insights into the world of design and engineering.

 

Benny Bolden, Jr., principal  of Nims Middle School praised the collaborative efforts between the school and FAMU, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in shaping the future workforce. "Events like these broaden horizons and inspire our students to dream big. We are grateful to FAMU for their continuous support and dedication to education."
