FAMU Athletics will welcome fans to its annual Fan Day this Saturday, August 23, at 4 p.m. inside the Al Lawson Center. The free, family-friendly event offers supporters a chance to connect with Rattlers athletes, coaches, and staff ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
Event Highlights:
Autograph Sessions: Fans can collect signatures from their favorite players and coaches on posters, schedules, or personal items.
Meet & Greet: Interactive opportunities with football and volleyball teams, and other athletics personnel.
Photo Opportunities: Pose with mascots Venom and the cheerleading squad, or snap pics with coaches and athletes.
Season Tickets: Purchase 2025-2026 season tickets on-site.
Giveaways: Complimentary schedule posters and other Rattler-themed swag.
The festivities follow the FAMU Boosters’ Kickoff Luncheon, which begins earlier in the day. Doors open at 4 p.m., with activities running until 5:30 p.m.
“Fan Day is a cornerstone of our community engagement,” said Travis Glasgow, Deputy Director of Athletics and Chief Operating Officer. “It’s a chance for Rattler Nation to rally behind our student-athletes and celebrate the excitement of the new season.”

FAMU’s Fan Day has become a beloved tradition, drawing hundreds annually. With the FAMU Volleyball team's hosting the the University of West Florida on Sunday at 1pm. for their season opener and the football home opener just weeks away (September 13 vs. Albany State), the event fuels anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling year in Rattler athletics.
Parking & Accessibility:
Free parking is available in lots surrounding the Al Lawson Center. Early arrival is encouraged to secure the best access to players and activities.
