The Governor signed into law Florida's new $70 billion state budget today and left intact all $31 million in projects for FAMU. See: $31 million for FAMU

Tallahassee State Senator Al Lawson worked hard to get FAMU everything on its 2006 wish list, and then lobbied the Governor's office hard to make sure nothing got vetoed. In all, Senator Lawson had more than $49 milion in identified projects for his 11 county north Florida district in the state budget.

Sen. Lawson finished second overall in the total dollar amount of projects funded in the Florida Legislature.

  1. Less than a year ago, Rosy, Castell, Challis, Eddie, and Corbin tried to makeout like Sen. Lawson was the guy ready to get rid of FAMU and have the state come in and run our finances; these individuals disrupted the renovations to the fieldhouse; sabotaged the boosters.

They said that plans were already underway to renovate the fieldhouse and Sen Lawson's support was not needed.

They hired KPMG. Well we are still waiting on the audit, which is 2 1/2 months past due for public inspection.

    Anyone heard from the boosters?

Look at Sen Lawson now, his actions are speaking volumes and so are their's.

  4. Lawson has proven his loyalty to FAMU, time and time again, in dollars and cents.

Rosy, Castell, Challis, Corbin, and the rest of the character assassins ought to be ashamed of themselves. How much money have they brought into the university lately?
