Rubin Carter should be a happy man today.The Florida A&M football coach is two years into his tenure at the Tallahassee school and his improving program gets another boost today, this time from Brevard County.
Six FAMU commitments are among the 25 area players planning to sign national letter of intent papers today, the first day of the national signing period. It's a big day for coaches, athletes and parents as thousands of players across the country prepare to receive college scholarships.
None is more excited than Marquiste Ramos of Bayside High. Ramos is one of the six heading for Florida A&M, and he returned from his visit to the school full of enthusiasm.

ReplyDeleteYou must of fell and bumped your head. We need to graduate student-athletes, not just use them and cast them aside for the sake of an on field victory. Had we gone after Hatcher, we'd have had both. Including a championship under our belt.
Last time I checked BJ was a coach.... Our new AD and his staff are doing a FINE job ensuring our athletes matriculate.....

And have only 5 plays in your play book, and recruiting ready made Jr. college athletes does not a coach make you. FAMU ain't UF. If Jake had time to see that his boys graduated, then Joe could of. Carter's doing it! If you don't go to class you gotta go. So what's your point?
