The FAMU Cheerleaders represented the Orange and Green with
excellence by placing second during Sunday’s
2014 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cheerleading Championship. Morgan State repeated as the overall champion.
Seven teams from the conference competed in the championship and three performed exhibition routines. The evening was also
highlighted by performances from four area Hampton Roads high school teams.
The South Carolina State Bulldog was crowned the champion of
the MEAC Mascot of the Year Award, an honor presented by Clear Channel.
FAMU’s Shelinka Cunningham won the All-Stars
Division.
