Bryant Spends $50,000 of FAMU Funds to Promote Self

In case you missed it, we thought we'd call this to your attention again. While SGA looks for money to bring quality speakers to campus to enhance the learning experience of students, the administration spends $50k to promote itself. Self Promotion
This is a SHAME and a FARCE! When you have faculty members that have to spend their PERSONAL funds to attend national and international summits, conferences, workshops and meetings to represent FAMU, present research findings, and support students' travel.
These $50,000 could have been better spent on chalk, computers, lab equipment, teaching assistants, Cornel West, cleaning supplies for the bathrooms, toilet paper, soap, office assistants, tutorial labs, or hire a real recruiter.
These $50,000 dollar bonus at Christmas by the BOT could have better been served buying office supplies for departments that have not been given a budget for the last 3 years.
Finally, that $50,000 could have been used to recruit students that meet the minimum criteria for admissions, as well as, provide scholarship support.
