FAMU professor Todd Bertolaet has won a prestigious grant from the Guggenheim Fellowship Foundation. Professor Bertolaet teaches photography in the Division of Graphic Communications in the School of Journalism and Graphic Communications. The average Guggenheim grant is worth about $38,236.
Bertolaet -whose black-and-white landscape photography has been widely exhibited in Tallahassee and around the Southeast - said he plans to use his windfall to pay for travel around the South.
There were 3,008 applicants for the Guggenheim awards, and only 186 made the final cut.
