Corbin Tries to Broker Meeting Between IP & NAA Pres.

Melbourne, FL--It seems that former BoT Chair James Corbin has tried to broker a peace deal between Interim President Castell Bryant and National Alumni Association President Alvin Bryant to take place at 9:00 p.m. EST tonight here in Melbourne. Both Bryants are here attending the Florida Regional Meeting of the National Alumni Association.
It seems that NAA President Bryant declined to meet with the Interim President without the presence of other University "stakeholders" -- SGA President, UFF Rep., and Faculty Senate President. The meeting was to said to have been an attempt to ease some of the recent friction between the two leaders.
The buzz around the convention is that the NAA President doesn't negotiate with "terrorist".
Damn! What has happened now?
ReplyDeleteGood for Alvin Bryant. He's smart to not meet with Castell alone. She's agree to one thing in a meeting, then come out and say something completely different. That or deny that meeting ever took place.
ReplyDeleteAsk Al Lawson. He knows from personal experience.
ReplyDeleteShe pulled the same stunt on T.K. Wetherall too.
ReplyDeleteThis meeting was failed from the start, look who was doing the dam "brokering"!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Corbin is still hanging around here. Damn he needs to take his arse someone and sit down. Hasn't he done enough to the university after the D-1 failed moving on up crap.
ReplyDeleteYeah, didn't he broker the deal that brought us Fred Gainous, J.R.E. Lee, UBC, and that Dobson lady.
ReplyDeleteDammit Corbin! Stop trying to manipulate this university from the back door. We've had enough of you since you rigged the last two presidential searches in Fred Gainous and Castell Bryant's favor. Haven't you done enough damage as it is?
ReplyDeleteStop trying to delay Castell's departure! Stop trying to position Debra Austin to be our next president! Stop trying to silence alumni, faculty, and students who are outraged about the current sorry state of instiution!
You still haven't gotten the message since you were removed from the BOT:
LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE!!!!
For anyone who thought Corbin wasn't still...pulling strings...Alvin Bryant deserves kudos for not facilitating a 3 person meeting requiring a meeting with all stakeholders reps.
ReplyDeleteDamn these two do not give up. When will this madness end?
ReplyDelete5 bucks says they were going to slip something in Alvin's sweet tea at the meeting, and we would have never heard from him again.
ReplyDeleteYou think they would be that low?
ReplyDeleteLower...
