The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference voted to admit Winston-Salem State University today. The conference intends to hold a press conference tomorrow to officially announce what we already know. Here's the Winston-Salem News Journal article: WSSU accepted into MEAC. WSSU, with an enrollment of 5,500, is the first school added to the conference since Norfolk State joined in 1997.
NCCU is next! It's already on the verge of being the top leader in National Achievement Scholar recruitment. In a few more years, it will likely be the largest single campus HBCU.
ReplyDeleteThe Humphries-success formula works. Too bad the current administration at Humphries' own alma mater doesn't seem to think so.
Not quite, my friend. Although NCCU is growing, they are still far behind FAMU, Howard etc. in terms of enrollment. The only way they will become the largest single campus HBCU is if FAMU continues to falter and there is a population boom in North Carolina. Florida: 4 major cities. North Carolina: 1. Advantage FAMU.
