Benjamin F. "Lamp" Lampkin, Jr. an ardent FAMU supporter died today. Mr. Lampkin was a former back up quaterback for the Rattler football team in the early 1950s (that's Ben handing the football off to Willie Galimore in practice).
Mr. Lampkin was a member of the Class of 1956 and later graduated from the FAMU College of Law. He made his home in Ft. Lauderdale.
No one could love FAMU more than Ben Lampkin did.
