FAMU BOT chairperson Challis Lowe has sent an e-mail to trustees, instructing them “to ignore any calls or correspondence that you receive from anyone acting outside of the approved search process, Willie Roberts, retired FAMU professor, writes in an open letter to Mrs. Lowe printed in the Capital Outlook.
Now on the heels of Mrs. Lowe's email to trustees comes a letter to trustees from Trustee W. George Allen, which many suspect was written for him by former FAMU BOT Chair James "Darth Vader" Corbin. Notice how the memo is typed, but is written in at the top, as if to indicate that Mr. Allen, himself, is not the true author of the memo, but only a conduit acting on behalf of someone else.

WTF is going on with these trustees?!?!?
ReplyDeleteRN, post all the Trustees email so they can hear from the rest of us!!!
ReplyDeleteIf that letter was written by an attorney, God help his clients!!!! I hope and pray that it was written by someone other than a member of the FAMU BOT.
ReplyDeleteWhen forwarded to the Governor's Office, that poorly constructed missive is likely grounds for the author's immediate removal from anything connected with education in the State of Florida.
Anyone reading this letter from Trustee W. George Allen should call Governor Charlie Crist's office immediately. He cannot get away with this chicanery.
ReplyDeleteFAMU FAMILY we must alert the governor to this board's action and prevent them from aborting the process and appointing yet another hand-picked president that does not have FAMU's future as a priority.
We cannot allow them to do this to us a third time. No way, No how!

The letter is a forgery, most likely by Jim Corbin or someone connected to him. He couldn't spell "it" if you spotted him the "i" and the "t".
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the same guy that wrote that hateful editorial against Dr. Fred Gainous?
ReplyDeleteWhat is his problem now?
excuse me, but why are Fred Humphries and Henry Lewis copied on this email? who is really trying to taint the process? and who is really supposed to believe that the candidates themselves are behind this and even if they are, they can stop what's going on? but let's just be real....there is only one candidate they are referring to.
ReplyDeletePlease excuse my language, but if I can call up my US or state leader, senator, representative, etc., who the hell are members of the board of trustess that I can't also let them know my opnions?!?
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteOh it's real. This is America baby! We have the right to endorse and tell our leaders how we feel. If it's good enough for the leader of the Free World George W. Bush, I'm sure W. George Allen can handle it for a couple days.
This is one of the funniest things I've heard of in a long time (next to Castell turning FAMU into Florida A&M Gay University). Yes, I'm talking about you, my "sweetie" V.P. ROTFL
ReplyDeleteI agree with that other writer! Who is W. George Allen that he can't take a few phone calls, etc. from interested Rattlers!? Somebody needs to tell him how to D E L E T E if he doesn't want to see those things. Don't answer your phone, George! To delete unwanted emails, highlight them and press the DELETE button. It works! And who thinks that he's that important enough to make any decisions? By the way, the Governor's office is (probably) laughing at all of this. Don't you think his camp contacted people to vote for him? How do you think he got in office?
Some of these BOT members are so funny (and stupid)!
Crist, these clowns make a mockery of Florida education. Get rid of them, pleeeeeeeze!
ReplyDeleteIf W. George Allen has been threatened bodily harm or threatened damage/harm to his personal property why in the hell didn'he call the Miami-Dade Police Department, instead of writing this elementary letter?
ReplyDeleteMore than likely, he is the one doing the threatening. Have you ever dealt with this man? He is a trip and is arrogant and nasty as hell.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't call the Miami-Dade Sheriff' Office because he lives in Broward County, you idiot.
ReplyDeleteSame point, either way his old arse should have called the Broward County Sheriff Department!
ReplyDeleteYou got the point.
