The FAMU Public Relations Office has adopted non-traditional methods to reach out to students at the University. By creating a facebook page the FAMU PR team hopes to reach students in the "dot com" world that so many young people are comfortable with.As of this writing, the Florida A&M University facebook network has 9,452 members. In the two weeks since the FAMU PR facebook page lauched it has gained 309 friends, who have tagged the page.
Later this month, the FAMU PR team plans to launch their own blog to further inform FAMU students and alumni.
I'm glad that the PR folk are taking some initiative. It has been sorely missed.
