FAMU student Mike Johnson, the University of Tulsa transfer who had hoped to earn a spot on the Rattler Football team this spring has been arrested and charged for filing a false police report this afternoon. Earlier this week Johnson told police that three masked men burst into his Gibbs Hall dorm room, pushed him on his bed and wrote "Mike + football = death" on his mirror, television and refrigerator. He said they were armed and that they also stole items from his room.
Now, Johnson has been arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail.
The entire story was a fabrication, said FAMU Police Chief Calvin Ross.
This kid needs help.
ReplyDeleteWhat else has he lied about?
He's lacking attention or something. We definately don't need any one like him on our football team. I hope his mother gets him some counseling and they both apologize to FAMU for the trouble he has caused.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. This sounds like a cry for help. You never know the pressure that some of these kids are under to succeed.
ReplyDeleteDon't even go there 7:46! That line of thought is an insult to all of us who have felt the pressures of college life and high expectations and did not resort to blatant lying and the potential damaging of the credibility of the university! He gets NO PASS for this one! He needs to feel the FULL BRUNT of the law for this.
ReplyDeletePlus, the Tallahassee Democrat had the article spread across the top fold of the paper in gigantic headlines. When I heard about this so-called incident, I immediately became suspect. I mean, it simply made no sense that such a thing would occur. Obviously this child needs some psychological counseling. I bet he has some other incidents that rise to the level of suspicion. The young man didn't just wake up and decide to create such a tale; he's probably got some psychological baggage in his past. He probably didn't think the story would become what it has (which goes to show you that he has serious problems, and one of them is not having critical thinking skills).
ReplyDeleteThis kid needs a hug!
ReplyDeletehe'll get a hug in jail for dragging the university and the students through this BS.
ReplyDeleteI hope this young brother gets the treatment he needs. He is obviously is need to some psychiatric assistance.
ReplyDeleteHe's crazy. How stupid can you get.
