Ninety-two percent of the financial and operational problems plaguing Florida A&M University have been corrected, according to a report by Jacksonville-consulting firm Accretive Solutions.
The firm was hired by the Board of Governors' FAMU task force in November to determine if new administrators found remedies to maladies eating at the university.
Already 48 areas such as bank account reconciliations, timely employee payrolls and accounting records approved by trustees. The report suggested FAMU still had work to do with respect to bids with new contracts, contract reporting and vehicle-use reports. FAMU said it has already begun to address those concerns.
